MONGO are delighted to be returning this St Patrick's Day – March 17th to celebrate our 1st year birthday bash! With a new year comes a new venue in the form of the Grand Social, and after the roaring success of St Stephen's Day we are sure to be in for another monster day out in this great new space! It seems like only yesterday that we kicked off our first daytime event at The Ormond Wine bar. Since then, we've gone on to host some of the most memorable events of 2011 in the POD complex. Making famous not only our beloved Luas but creating an internet sensation around Dublin in the form of crazy raver guy outside, good times! :)

We have seen a plethora of quality Irish acts over the duration, proving that our scene, as small and intimate as it may be, still remains strong and is bursting with talent! We have had the pleasure of meeting loads of new faces on the dancefloor, in the courtyard, at the festivals and of course at the after party and from all of this comes the good time party MONGO is now know known for – so HUGE thanks to you all! x

So, moving onwards and upwards with a very special line up to help us celebrate the year that was and the year ahead in a fresh new space – The Grand Social. We have put together what we think is possibly one of our finest line ups to date. Keeping things homegrown as well as drafting in some old friends from Ibiza’s Zoo Project we have included a diverse line up of some of the finest house, techno, disco and mash up DJs / Producers and Live Acts around!

With a MONGO debut appearance from one of the countries finest - Phil Kieran (Cocoon), plus an exclusive Irish debut live set from man of the moment - Matador (Minus). We have also included Belfast duo Jet Project (Get physical/ Viva) and Hot Creations records latest offering BUBBA, who has been causing quite a stir of late on Pete Tong’s essential mix. If that wasn’t enough we welcome the return of Nic & Kaleb (Zoo Project Ibiza) who stole the show at POD last year playing arguably one of the finest sets MONGO has seen since its inception. Along with all of this comes our usual brood of quality local acts from both Dublin and further afield. With Four rooms now on offer including The Ballroom, The Loft, The Bar and now The Garden area (with BBQ & Music on the day) there really is something for everyone and it’s shaping up to be one celebration you do not want to miss!

Doors for the event open from 2pm with various drink promos on the day as well as a BBQ in the garden to keep you in good health throughout! The party will run till late so expect a full day out and a quality soundtrack to make for the perfect Paddy's Day! Admission for the event will be e15. Capacity is limited so please please arrive early to avoid disappointment! Our last event sold out within 3 hours of opening so the earlier you get there the better!

This Christmas Mongo is delighted to return to Dublin for a very special St Stephens Day Party. In the months since our last big outing at Pod, Mongo has been a highlight at both Mystik and Mansion festival and has seen us work alongside an array of quality house and techno acts along the way. So, with our recent road trips out of the way, we move into our new winter home, The Grand Social!

With 2 floors, 3 rooms & a spacious smoking area, its the perfect space to continue where we left off last summer. Expect the usual variety of musical delights, from a quality local line up, that have become accustomed with Mongo parties since our incarnation! This time though, we add a festive touch...

Last summers mammoth parties saw us bring together Dublin's finest DJ's, producers and party goers (that's you) to create an unmissable atmosphere that was enjoyed by so many. This party will be no different. We’ll welcome home some forgotten Irish ex-pats from their various escapades abroad and bring them together with the usual mix of your favourite residents from around the city.

The Attic will be transformed into a techno haven with Sunil Sharpe, Fran Hartnett, Giles Armstrong, Discipline DJs + others taking to the controls. The Downstairs Club Room will see man of the moment, and the newest member of the Minus family,Matador headline with support from Mongo residents Al Keegan & Aaron Nolan, resident advisors Saoirse Ryan & many others. The Bar offers up something completely different with a headline set from former DMC World Champion DJ Tu-Ki, a special festive Hugh Cooney Show and lots of quality funk, disco and festive fun throughout...

Doors open from the earlier time of 6pm, and to help pry you from the comfort of the couch and onslaught of Xmas Tv, all of the above will come in at the princely sum of only €10. That's less than the price of a pair of penny's Xmas socks... We also guarantee a selection box of excellent drink promos on the day to ease the financial strain of Christmas and as per usual, please feel free to help spread the good word to any fellow party goers or sound heads who might be interested in coming along!!

Mongo host a room at Irelands first indoor dance music festival since Coloursfest '03. A multi-roomed festival spread across two days in Dundalks Fairways Hotel. The line up includes Dubfire, Grandmaster Flash, Vitalic, Joris Voorn, Chris Liebing, Seth Troxler, Plump DJs, Carlo Lio & Nina Kraviz amongst others!

HOW TO GET THERE !?!

BUSES - Buses will be in operation on the day and will be announced in due course.

Alternatively, simply get the number 65 bus to it's final stop, Ballymore Eustace. We will provide a shuttle bus from here to the venue (10 mins away), easy!

NB - This is not a BYOB event although a full bar and off license will be provided on site. There will also be food stalls, market place and fancy dress shop available for those who forgot their rubber chicken suits! :)

MASSIVE thanks to everyone who made it to our incredible all day party on St Patrick Day. I think its pretty safe to say that a great day was had by all!!

Mongo continues its assault on Dublin's nightlife with another stellar line up on April 8th! We return to our home at Copper Alley Nightclub and welcome a headline set from one of our newest residents and man of the moment, MATADOR!

2010 was a massive year for him and it looks l...ike 2011 is gonna be even bigger! With... releases on Cocoon amongst others last year, this year sees him teaming up with the likes of Fergie and Phil Kieran for releases on each of their high profile imprints His most recent Silohette EP has just been released on Umeks label 1605 and is currently causing chaos in clubs around the world... With the latest news of a Traum release coming soon it seems there's no stopping this Dublin based techno giant... watch out!

Also on the line up is Jonathan Woods of Acii Disco & Rubberband fame, its been awhile since Jonathan graced the decks so it's an outing not to be missed as he never fails to impress with his sets in and around the city. Other support on the night comes from Chonk resident Leo Ring who has been causing quite a stir of late as well as Mongo resident Al Keegan.
